Lou Lange is a budding artist and current student pursuing a BA at Jutland Art Academy. Within her artistic realm, Lange constructs imagined scenarios by employing the human body as a prop that is playfully manipulated through wordplays, instructional pieces, and everyday choreographies. These imagined realms are characterized by strategically appropriated and reinterpreted phenomena and symbols associated with youth, girlhood, popular culture, and Christianity.

This is a way to dissect and deconstruct the shapes and signifiers that propagate certain societal ideals. She, for example, examines the ceremonial competitiveness entwined in events like a “Miss Wet T-Shirt” contest, exposing and challenging the underlying notions these spectacles uphold.
