Brother May is a charismatic London-based MC, songwriter and producer, known for his off-the-wall lyricism and energetic live performances. As a founding member of the CURL collective (alongside Coby Sey and Mica Levi) Brother May wields a sound and attitude that is exemplary of southern English new grime. His newest solo album “Pattern With Force”, co-produced with Mica Levi, will be released on April 22nd.
It brims with the fearless UK garage, jungle, and downtempo influences of its production, along with the raw poetic energy of May’s own early drill and gangster rap background, since shaped by London’s sound system culture and the post-grime scene of his CURL collective peers.
