Arte Carlander is an artist, composer, and musician who will be performing a theater concert specially made for Alter. Arte is known for their unique approach to producing music and art. One of their latest pieces Portal Game is a roleplaying game for creating collective compositions by an ensemble of actors and musicians.

For Alter, Arte will be performing with an ensemble of new and old friends, with the self-made marionette doll called Strings will be a focal point for an extended web of narratives. With its small frame and alien frog-like appearance, Strings is an embodiment of Arte’s weird and wonderful music. The doll is operated, not by the hands of a puppet master, but by hissing motors.

Using the system from Portal Game the ensemble collectively composes an epic opera, where various beings find their ways and meet through Strings as the narrative key.
