Therese Bülow is a Danish sculptor and artist whose work revolves around themes related to materiality, the perception of one’s surroundings, and the entanglement of objects. Her artistic practice primarily focuses on sculpture and performance, and she holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Malmö Art Academy, which she obtained in 2022. Bülow delves into the ways in which objects and materials contribute to shaping human perception of reality. By investigating materials and objects that already share an intimate relationship with the body, such as soap, textiles, and tools, she expands and questions the boundaries of the body itself. Her interests lie in exploring the division and relationship between living and non-living matter. Through her artworks, Bülow presents a collage of time and materials, drawing connections from baroque heraldry to the industrial design of the Space Age.
