Freja Sigsgaard-Hansen is a visual artist based in Copenhagen. They work with themes of transformation and altered states of mind through a framework of mythology and speculative fiction. They are interested in how hybrid creatures have been a consistent theme from ancient mythology up until today’s popular culture. This is explored in their praxis as a queer trail hiding in the cracks of the stories we tell, as a potential resistance to categorization and antagonistic thinking, that spans across time.
